I am the creator of TheDomainBay.com.
I will spare you my childhood story and start with the time after i finished high school. I went from one corporate job to another and found one major thing in common. They all fired me or I quit before they fired me. I am not meant to be in the corporate world, I am an entrepreneur and love starting new projects.
I registered my first domain name in 1999 for a project i was working on at the time. The project never took off and in 2006 i got an email from a guy that wondered if that domain was for sale. This is how i became interested in domaining. Several years later and many $ spent buying new domains i learned the hard way what works and what don’t. After making a bunch of newbie mistakes i learned the difference between an asset or liability.
I never sold my first domain to that buyer since his offer was not even close to my asking price. It turned out that was a wise move since i sold it two years later for a five figure amount instead of the three figure amount i was first offered. Thanks to my ventures into the domain business and also thanks to serendipity i got many ideas for web startups. So in a sense you could say that i have “graduated” from a domainer to an entrepreneur.
My other passion in life is astronomy and movies. I’m also an eclipse chaser that travels around the globe just to stand in the shadow of the Moon for a couple of minutes. Sounds crazy you might think but wait until you experience a total solar eclipse with your own eyes. Words cannot describe this experience, it’s simply the greatest spectacle in nature.
